About Boronia Sport Fishing Club
The Boronia Sport Fishing Club Inc. started its life as the Eagle Angling Club back in the 1980’s. The name was changed in 1990 when the Cub became incorporated.
The Club is involved in all forms of angling including saltwater (bays and blue water ocean fishing), freshwater (rivers, streams, lakes and impoundments), salt water estuaries and surf fishing utilising various types of bait and all forms of lure fishing.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to anyone who enjoys, or would like to discover the joys of fishing whether it be salt or fresh water, using bait or lures and always in the company of like minded people.
Our Club offers both single and family membership packages as we encourage all members of the family to get involved in fishing.
The Club runs a senior male, senior female, junior male and junior female section as well as an open section that cover both fresh and salt water fishing.
In addition to regular competitions (both day and weekends away), the Club also holds several social functions throughout the year including :
Social Nights
Various Guest Speakers
Club BBQ’s at local retail outlets
Family Christmas Party (and yes Santa does attend)
The Club meets at 7.30pm at the Boronia RSL, 198 Dorset Rd., Boronia on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month with the following exceptions:
June & July - meetings are held only once on the second Wednesday.
August - meetings are held only once on the fourth Wednesday.
Visitors are always made welcome so come along and join in the fun.
